The Master’s Degree Program in Applied Mathematics at Ryerson University began in Fall 2009. Our graduate students receive a solid education in Applied Mathematics which prepares them to pursue successful careers in industry and academia. Given the low ratio of students to faculty members, a distinguished characteristic of our program is the dedicated attention that students receive during their studies. These pages will try to provide you with useful information on the structure of the program, how to apply, and the Department of Mathematics itself.
The department consists of 18 tenured and tenure-track faculty members most of them with active research programs and many with external funding. Members of the department have research expertise in diverse areas such as mathematical finance, graph theory and combinatorics, mathematical biology, fluid dynamics, stochastic calculus, and foundations of quantum mechanics.
